New Beginning

Well, I have finally done it. I have finally decided to join a gym program. I have a friend who started working out at Curves a couple months ago, and I just recently found to, so I decided I would join her. I also invited my sister-in-law, Krystle, to join me. So now with not only one, but two girlfriends to help motivate me, and vice-versa, I think we can do it. Actually, I don't really have a choice as Krystle and I signed up for a year membership last night. BIG commitment. But we can do it! Last night they took all my measurements, BMI and weight, so I am excited to see the progress as months go by.

Here's to a new beginning!

Happy New Year

This year I have a few new years resolutions.
My first resolution is to get on a decent diet. I am not going to deprive myself of the great things in life (ice cream, pop, snacks, etc.), and I will splurge and have my occasional junk food, but I would like to start eating nice healthy meals. No more pizza rolls because I'm too exhausted from all the little kids running around to make myself a decent lunch/dinner.
My second resolution is to have more family dinners and sit down at the table more. We are usually so busy, especially in the summer, and can't find the time to sit down as a family and eat. This needs to stop. We are going to find a way to enjoy at least 3 sit down meals every week.
My third resolution is to spend less time on the computer in the evenings and more time with my kids doing whatever it is they need/want to do.
My fourth resolution is to only drink 1 cup of coffee a day, instead of two. The reason mainly for this is because I can't drink black coffee, it has to have a crap ton of creamer and sugar in it. Well, if I'm going to try and diet and cut out crap food, I think that straight table sugar would count. But since I can't cut it out completely, I will just cut it in half. I figure this shouldn't be too hard because 3/4 of the time when I pour my second cup I usually start doing something and forget about it anyways.
My fifth resolution I am going to keep to myself at this point.
Good luck to me and to the rest of you who set resolutions and goals.
