UGHH...

Well we are starting our much needed backyard 're-doing'. The first snowstorm that we had this last winter caught us, along with many people, off guard. We hadn't prepared for winter yet, the trees weren't even close to being done releasing all of their leaves yet, and our yard (due to having a million + ten cottonwood trees) was covered in leaves still (even though we had already raked 3 times).

So all those leaves + all that snow = a bunch of dead grass.

We are tilling and reseeding our whole backyard, along with adding some landscape bricks and a nicer dog kennel, removing a couple of smaller (half dead) trees and replanting some nice shrubs.
I'm not looking forward to this weekend, or the rest of the week I should say. Tomorrow we have volleyball at 6 then plan to hit up Lowes and get some top soil. Friday night is softball, grilling and laying back a few beers. Then Saturday the real fun begins with more yard work. Saturday night we are planning to get together with a couple of our neighbors and grilling again and having a pit fire. Then Sunday I am hoping to take the kids to the park as long as the yard is decently done and then Harley has another baseball game.
It's going to be another 'oh my God I can't believe tomorrow is Monday already' weekend!
