You discovered that you enjoy football and tackling your brother. I believe one of your first words was "touchdown" where you would throw your hands in the air like the refs do to signal a touchdown. You also know what the NFL logo is and would say "football" whenever you saw it.
Some of your favorite things to eat are hotdogs, pickles, mandarin oranges, green beans, peas, chicken nuggets, and summer sausage & cheese sandwiches. You are a pretty good eater, but sometimes you want nothing to do with fruits. You don't have much of a sweet tooth and never seem to want to eat nummy snacks like vanilla wafers, teddy grahams, or cookies. However, you can't live without your fruit snacks and you cannot live without your ketchup, mustard & ranch!
Your favorite shows to watch are Mickey Mouse Club House, Imagination Movers, Mickey Mouse Club House, Spongebob, Mickey Mouse Club House, Jungle Junctions & Mickey Mouse Club House.
Right now you can't live without your Mickey Mouse stuffed animal, and the blanket that Grandma Fammie made you last year. You need to have it everywhere you go and you have no problems letting daddy and I know if we forgot to grab it for you.
Our bedtime routine consists of taking a bath at 7:45 ish, and then at 8:00 we will turn on a half hour episode of the Mickey Mouse Club House and watch that with all the lights off while you drink your milk. This is our 'relax' time with you to let you unwind before being laid down at 8:30. This is a constant routine and it is working for you so we are going to stick with it. At this point you sleep through the night and usually wake up around 7:30-8:00 (usually it depends on how noisy your big brother is when he is getting ready for school). When you do wake up in the morning, you never cry, you just sit and yell for "mommy" or "daddy" and sometimes even both.
You love you puppies and kitty. You know their names, although you insist on calling Lewis "Mickey" and you switch between calling the animals either "Rocky" or "Tito" every other week. You haven't learned between the two, so you just pick which ever name is suiting your personality that day and call them both by that name.
You talk quite often. You don't say too many sentences yet, but you know how to ask for what you want. You can say all the basics like Mommy, Daddy, Harley, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle, Auntie & Mickey. Some other words include:
"Mote" or "TV" when you want to watch TV.
"Set, hut" when you are about to run and tackle Harley or daddy.
"two nine" whenever you see numbers.
"ah snack" when you want a fruit snack.
"ah cheese" when you want mommy to take pictures of you.
"ride" when you sit on Tito's back and you want him to give you a ride.
"brrr cold" whenever we go outside and it's cold out.
You know almost all of your body parts; hair, head, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, boobies, belly button, tootsies & tongue. My favorite is to ask for your tongue because you will stick it out and say "mmmm".
You can count pretty well, daddy works with you quite often on this. You refuse to say "one" for some reason, but you will say all the rest. Sometimes it will go from "two" to "nine" because for whatever reason you really like those numbers.
When we go shopping, you are always a good boy. You enjoy looking around and pointing at things and trying to figure out what they are. In Walmart there is this huge cow poster by the dairy section, and every time we walk by it you say "cow". Your favorite thing is to get a Slim Jim at the end of our shopping trips and you will gnaw away at it on the way home.
Well, that pretty much sums it up for the second year of your life. Now lets get on with the third. I hope you have a wonderful year Kaden. Mommy, Daddy & Harley love you so very, very much. I can't wait until your 3rd birthday, so we can reflect back on this letter and see how much you have changed.
Kaden's 1st Birthday. February 19th, 2009.
Hoping that your day will be as special as you are.
